Whitman's Team 1389 "The Body Electric" Robotics Competition


Save the date! On March 21 & 22, Whitman's Team 1389 "The Body Electric" will host 34 robotics teams from across the DMV (all over MD/DC/VA) as they compete to see which robots will advance to District Champs! Sponsored by Bechtel, this competition showcases robots designed, built, and programmed by high school students. Come to Whitman's gym to cheer on Team 1389, and learn about the exciting world of robotics. It is a fantastic family-friendly event for all ages and anyone interested in STEM.

 

This event is FREE and open to the public. It runs from 9am to 7pm on Saturday and 9am to 6:30pm on Sunday. Great food and concessions will be available all weekend and are an important fundraiser for our team. Thanks for your support!

If you are interested in becoming a member of Team 1389 "The Body Electric," please note the following recruitment guidelines:

Fall Enrollment Only: New members are only accepted at the start of the school year in the fall. Annual Commitment: Due to the intensive nature of the build season and competition schedule, students are not able to join mid-year. Plan Ahead: Because of these constraints, prospective students should reach out early to ensure they don't miss the fall registration window.
